Drug charges result after driver hits house

Many people may not understand the dangerous nature of their actions until someone else gets hurt. Unfortunately, when injuries do result because of someone else's actions, it is likely that criminal charges could come against that person. Depending on the details of the situation, drug charges could be included in those allegations.

It was recently reported that one Arizona man was taken into custody after an accident that left two children injured. Apparently, the man was driving a vehicle when he left the roadway, drove through a yard and hit a house. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m., and the driver presumably attempted to flee the scene because officers found the homeowner chasing the man when they arrived. Authorities apprehended the driver.

The incident resulted in two children suffering injuries to their heads due to being struck by debris. It was not mentioned whether the driver of the vehicle suffered any injuries. He allegedly stated that he had smoked marijuana and consumed alcohol for the incident. As a result, the man was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, hit and run, and criminal damage.

This Arizona man likely wishes that his mistakes had not led to such a serious situation. Nonetheless, he must contend with the repercussions of the accident. In order to address the drug charges and other allegations he faces, it may be wise for him to gather applicable information about the charges and his case in general. Understanding the legal proceedings ahead may allow him to better prepare.
